1963-1972 C10 Independent Rear Suspension Conversion Kit
This kit allows you to bolt in a 2010-2015 Camaro rear sub frame in to your 1963 - 1972 C10.
Doing this gives you many upgrades. In most cases this includes:
- Positraction differential
- 14" Rotors*
- 4 Piston Brembo brakes calipers*
- Tons of wheel options due to 5x120mm bolt pattern
- Ability to lower bed to 5" off the ground**
- No bed cutting required
- Increased Handling
- Independent Rear Suspension
Use our Animals brackets to bolt in a rear subframe from a 2010-2015 5th Gen Camaro IRS. Complete Camaro subframes are readily available at wrecking yards, for less than the cost of rebuilding your stock differential and adding disc brakes. The brackets allow the use of the all the stock Camaro mounting points for the suspension links. Brackets will come in raw steel ready for your choice of powdercoat or paint. Simply cut a C-Notch into each frame rail and drill new holes using the brackets as a guide.
The brackets are designed to use a Coil-Over, such as one from VIKING, RIDETECH, QA1, Summit, etc, for a 5th Generation Camaro. The stock spring and shock from the Camaro is not used. We have also used air struts with this application although it does require additional modifications to be made
Wheel sizing we found is best to base it off of 5th Gen Camaro rear wheel specs. Camaro IRS Width is 67.5 inch, the stock rear ends vary by year but will either be 62.125 or 63.5. This does cause some interferance issues with the bedside if you want a deep dish wheel in the rear this kit is not recomended
Kit includes the 2 frame brackets, a support cross member, instructions and all the mounting hardware required.
REAR SUBFRAME IS NOT INCLUDED.
Requires a 3 Bolt Differential to U-Joint adapter such as Sonnax T35-GMFD-01K or (DANA 3-2-119 and GForce CAM10200R)
*Requires SS/ZL1 subframe
**Depending on shock/bag set up and wheels/tires choice
